Is Gmail better than sex?
Thursday, September 15th, 2005I read somewhere that an enormous amount of traffic on the Internet is due to porn, and somewhere else I read the suggestion that porn above all things drives innovation in Internet technologies.
I don’t know if that it is true. But I do know that mentioning the word “Gmail” in a blog entry will instantly draw three (or even four) times as many hits as a more useful and interesting entry that doesn’t mention the G word.
I can come to only one sound conclusion: Gmail is the porn of the email blogging world.
(Of course, this has nothing to do with Apple Mail, but it does give me the chance to get the word “Gmail” into my feed again).
