Quicksilver is back!

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

QuicksilverAs Quicksilver fans all over the world know, the Blacktree web site has been down since at least last Friday.

Now it’s back. Developer Alcor says that the site was down due to “a plugin downloading bug (and a subsequent server overuse)”.

You can now download the latest Leopard-friendly build of Quicksilver and install all the plugins your heart desires (quite a lot in my case).quicksilver, productivity, leopard, mac osx, 10.5

Leopard Mail Screenshots

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

leopardApple Legal has been doing its best to take down screenshots that break its non-disclosure agreements, but I guess the sheer volume of posts almost guarantees that some will get through.

Spilled Cow has posted six screenshots of Leopard Mail (notes, making a to-do, a note with a to-do, a to-do list, adding an RSS feed and dispalying an RSS feed).

HardMac (Le Macbidouille) has more detailed shots of to-dos and to-do options.mail.app, apple mail, leopard mail, 10.5, to-dos, notes, rss feeds, screenshots, apple

Leopard Mail, “like Entourage (but better)”

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

leopard100pxUPDATE: Be careful — April Fool’s joke ahead. Completely sucked me in, being reposted at a later date from an original thread on MacNN . Don’t let it get you…

According to a post on the osx86project forum by someone who claims to be “in the know”, Leopard Mail will be quite a different beast:

Mail, Address Book, iCal, iSight, and iChat will become one integrated application, much like Entourage (but better). Included is a customizable Auto Responder and voice activated dialing via numbers or Address Book names. You will be able to automatically send email & initiate iSight meetings, etc. that are linked/pegged to specific calendar events.

Never have I so fervently hoped a rumour wrong.

The information comes as part of a long list of features that the poster suggests will be part of OS 10.5.

He says “don’t quote me”, so you had better not.

Or is it just a troll? See Scott Morrison’s remarks in the comments.nightmare, mail.app, apple mail, ical, address book, entourage, leopard, 10.5, iChat
