Rob and Ray, the problems you’re having are currently being addressed. I’m doing a major overhaul of the engine that will make it faster and more reliable.

So stay tuned and try a future version.

Tried this, let it index for a day and afterwards my entire machine was sluggish. Looking in Activity Monitor I saw a Java process near the top with a parent process of Mail. Uninstalled Rocketbox and things were back to normal. Perhaps i’m unusual but I have 100K emails. Rocketbox doesnt seem able to handle that kind of scale.

I’ve been using RocketBox for some time now, but not without frustrations. A query frequently brings up nothing….like TIDBITS mail, of which I have hundreds! Another annoyance is that it defaults to “last year” finds, which is seldom what I want. I find myself turning it OFF more and more frequently…which I found is easy to do! Also, I never know what “reset filters” does or doesn’t do; it doesn’t solve any of the problems I’ve mentioned…
