Coverflow for Quicksilver?
Coverflow mock-ups seem to be all the rage (see yesterday’s “Coverflow for people”).
Today hot off the Quicksilver forums
comes a Coverflow mock-up for a new “Leopardised” Quicksilver interface, created by Foood:

Hmmm…. I’m in two minds about this. When does that delicate balance so beloved by Mac users between aesthetic appeal and functional utility become unstuck? It must be somewhere around this point.
I think I’ll stick with my Cube, slightly tweaked (see the before and after shot below) for larger action icons to each side, which stops me having to squint too much.

Fancy fooling around with your own Quicksilver interface, but don’t want to go the whole Coverflow hog? There are some pointers in an old Hawk Wings post.

Ehh … People like you with your fancy-schmancy “Cube” command interface just favour looks over the down-to-(and-salt-of-)-earth-i-ness of the Bezel, most perfect and functional of the Quicksilver interfaces.
I refuse to hear any arguments from infidels like you … go hence and repent by using Primer for a week.

I’m not even positive I like the mock-up & I created it (under the pseudonym of FOOOD). I was just throwing the idea out there.
I work with & process a lot of images through Quicksilver so use Bezel (well a mod of it seen at the Quicksilver forum) as it gives you a larger preview than say Primer does.
So being able to click through items in the results list in coverflow view would be pretty useful for me.
But more this I’d love to see a Quick Look plug-in for Quicksilver. I think that would be an excellent/must have feature!

@Jono — Thanks for posting. I hpe you didn’t take at offence at my umming and ahhing. I am at at the extreme functional end of the spectrum. Probably having been a PC user for so many years, I don’t valie beautiful thing as much as I should ;-)
I think a lot of people _will_ like it.

Tim, of course I didn’t take offence :)
As I said I was just throwing the idea out there, & that I wasn’t even convinced myself that it was a great idea.
