In fact, the Leopard beta is running more smoothly on my machine than previous betas did under Tiger, perhaps because the archive and install cleared away some of the system hacks and tweaks. I would highly recommend avoiding it. Adding a new keyword to the dropdown caused all my other keywords to be completely forgotten (i.e. no longer listed in the pref pane). And I have combed the menus and context menus etc etc looking for this -- I wanted to be careful to not misrepresent any functionality. I know something was like it in earlier leopard builds but nothing in recent builds so I think that the either the feature was dropped, or what we saw in earlier builds was inadvertent (unintended) behaviour.
