I have tried logging out and restarting the Mini. Still no go. My next step will be to repair permissions and run DiskWarrior. Anyway, I realize this isn't a help desk. I'll muddle through it. I would like to use this new Canada Mail.app icon, but I can't seem to get the method you explain in your post <a href="http://www.hawkwings.net/2005/10/17/change-apple-mails-dock-icon/" rel="nofollow">here</a> to work. I can copy the icon from the Inspector window of the new icon, but I can't paste it to Mail.app's Inspector window (and yes, I remembered to quit Mail). Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
