Anthony, thanks for the link. I didn't know that. This all bodes well for a Church whose IT arrangements often run by the power of prayer alone! :)

Barney, I agree with you. I spent six years in London as the Vicar of Battersea. The Bishop of London visted once or twice. He does have a most commanding presence.

Tim, many congratulations on your new post - and thank you (how many times can I say that without looking stupid) for keeping HW going. It's essential reading for us Mail users.

Although I'm not a Christian (I'm a Baha'i), I work with a lot of people in the Church of England (clergy and lay) on various multi-faith projects of one kind or another. My considered judgment is that the Bishop of London (Rt Revd Richard Chartres) is the gold standard in looking holy (and, quite possibly, in being holy). And he has a wonderful voice - it sounds tremendous in St Paul's Cathedral.

Tim - you were definitely missed! Congrats on being named a Stewart Lecturer. No wonder you're tapped out. Let me know if I can help in any way.

BTW - How does one LOOK holy?
