Productivity in a tight spot
Many people will tell you that a mother-in-law is nothing but trouble.
But it’s not true.
Last night my mother-in-law sent me an engaging picture that is just begging to be included in a productivity photo caption competition:

Perhaps, “A first look at Vista”? Or “Worker gets the wrong end of the ‘Inbox Zero’ concept“?
This kind of humour might appeal more to British readers, but I’m open to better offers from any quarter.

As a Brit, I’m am drawn like a moth to a flame. How about:
1. Reassuring to know there is still a role for paper, in personal productivity.
2. I knew that hipster PDA would come in useful one day!
3. The inevitable result of too much collecting and processing.

Excellent!
That’s brought a smile to my day. Thanks.

maybe they’re typing away something like this
+Project Mexican Restaurant
@cubicle: Number Two #completed
@cubicle: Clean up
@cubicle: Deodorize
@sink: Wash Hands
…
That would be taking GTD a little too far wouldn’t it?

Adrian, can I press you for an explanation? I haven’t lived in the UK for six years, and I think I must be behind the times.

Hi Tim!
GIGO = Garbage In Garbage Out. I thought that one was universal. (Though I suppose it could be dated, I heard it in the 70’s.)

A-ha! I’m ahead of the times. That makes a nice change.

Steven, I haven’t played D&D for 25 years, since it was just a little blue book. That’s “a 40th level Neutral Evil Rogue” but then I’m lost….

When I told him he was a Wiz on the computer I didn’t think he would take it so literally…
Sorry. Gratuitous comment mode off

Tim: A head of the times and out standing in your field…
My D&D set’s three beige books in a box and coincidentally about the same age as GIGO.

You had the right idea Tim.
Level 40 Night Elf rouge looking for group Zul farrak (a lvl 40 or so dungeon) please send tell.
Man, I might be addicted too >.>

World of Warcraft speak. It’s actually a badge of honor if you don’t understand it. :)
(NE is actually Night Elf. LFG = Looking For Group. ZF = Zul’Farrak, a dungeon, PST = Please Send Tell)
