Completely off topic question: where did you find the Picasso image from which you grabbed the icon for this posting? (My dad had this image in our house, and I grew up thinking how cool it was that the sun was orange. Then, I saw the original, with a black and white sun. I confronted my dad with a "what the hell?!")

@Steve -- Being ordained, getting married, deciding to have kids, having kids, finishing my doctorate first. In no particular order [Hello, wifey! :-) ]

@XIII - It is interesting to play around with it. I haven't deleted the partition yet. I just can't get it out of my mind that Vista is nothing more than "slightly tarted up XP".

Perhaps a lack of familiarity on my part is breeding contempt.

It can be nice, if only to reassure oneself that home really is better after all and the grass (or aero glass) isn't greener on the other side.
I'm actually looking forward to playing around with Vista, just to see what's new.
Welcome back ye dragon slayer.

I enjoy your blog. I am a Mac -and Apple Mail- newbie (6 months). You/your blog are one reason I stay with Mail, 'though occasionally I dabble in Opera Mail (one I used in Windows days -and I've used most) and Entourage.

A question though: what were you other top life decisions?

(Feel free not answer: just curious)
