Nick Starr has noticed
that Gmail now offers you the choice to select all your conversations and delete them all in one hit.
Previously, you had to hack through the screens selecting fifty at a time and deleting each group. Now it is much faster:

Select All in the Gmail interface and the option to select all the conversations with the same label or in the same category appears to the right.
I don’t know how long this option has been around. It was news to me.
Slash and burn.

Yes, I noticed this only this morning and I *know* it wasn’t there 24 hours ago when I was trying to get rid of the spam–50 messages at a time. I think it’s that new and it does work–I just zapped 2500 junk mails in about 5 seconds with this new feature. Way to go, Google!
Excellent. Thanks for the confirmation.
Thank you Gmail. This was my one and only suggestion I have ever put to Google.
Now I probably wasn’t the only one to suggest this but now I do have a nice warm fuzzy feeling because it seems they really did liisten.
It is a big improvement.
