<description>Hi - I&#039;ve been reading for a little while, first time commenting.

First off, I love Gmail, but I try not to lose my objectivity completely.

As for tagging in Gmail, while it&#039;s a manual solution, what I do when I want tags is reply to a given message and address that reply to myself. Then I select all, and start typing the text or tags I want to use to search for it later. Works like a charm. Then I send it to myself and I have a rule that marks it as read and archives it so that it doesn&#039;t clutter up the inbox. Very quick, and so browser dependency (a la GreaseMonkey solutions).

Thanks for your site - email management is the keystone of living with digital information.
