Email for millionaires: $399/month
Millionaires24
is a new email service targeted at the very rich.
For USD 399/month (that’s USD 4,788 annually), you get an email account with all mod cons, unlimited webdisk space, and unlimited traffic. It’s feature rich
, so to speak. They even throw in virus and spam filtering.
And, of course, there’s the comfort of knowing that you have one of the most expensive email addresses in the world, with a membership limited to 10,000.
The press release
does not seem embarrassed by the price:
Rise above the crowd! In a time where everyone is judged by his financial status, the members of Millionaires24.com can demonstrate their wealth. This is like a virtual diamond ring. To guarantee the exclusivity of the desired email address the number of members is limited, to the most elite ten thousand individuals worldwide. Can you afford it? Show it!
It must be a joke. Does the world contain 10,000 Paris Hiltons who would fall for this?

Of course there aren’t 10,000 people who’d do this. But if you can find, say, 10, you’re pulling in $48K a year to run a basic mail server. That’s not too shabby.

For about $4,800 a year you think they would have designed a better site. Just goes to show just cause you got money doesn’t mean you have taste.

The real question is though… is it any more of a waste of money than buying Versace brand jeans, for example?

I guess I just don’t like to see people taken advantage of simply because they are rich. I feel sorry for them.

I hasten to add that I feel sorry for people who buy Versace jeans too :-)

If you find millionaires24.com a bit expensive you may buy just a hot.cat email. They just cost 20 € a day , they give a part to charities and there is even a list to be seen according to how much you have paid. Isn`t it that wonderful?
