Gmail user gets the “black hole” treatment.
Not long ago reports surfaced of a Gmail user whose account was canceled without warning (and just today another user reports something similar). Now there’s another reason to be wary to relying too much on Gmail.
Cheesetoe tells how his Gmail was down
for a few days.
It came back, but all the messages from the period of downtime were “black-holed” and will never be seen again. “Goodbye Gmail”, he says, and “welcome back old reliable friend Apple Mail.app.”
