Plaxo releases updated Address Book beta
A few weeks ago I posted about Plaxo’s Address Book plugin which syncs data between your own computer and Plaxo’s web-based interface.
Plaxo has released an updated beta (beta 2) which contains several new features and bugfixes. It now includes an uninstaller, data caching to improve performance within Address Book, better handling of Groups and the “Contact History” features is now enabled.
The beta is available from Plaxo’s web site
. You must have a Plaxo account to use it.

This seems great, but I can’t find any documentation on actually making the thing work. It says that everything was synced, but I can’t see any of the contacts when logging into the web version. Nor can I figure out how to connect an address book entry to a contact who I know is in Plaxo (they are already in my online contact list).
Can anyone provide any help as to how this is supposed to work?

I was frustrated by the lack of documentation too, when learning enough to write the posts about the plugin. Documentation always seems to come last in the development of betas :(
I can’t help you, but I hope that someone can.

I work for Plaxo and am the development lead for the Plaxo for Mac project. I’m sorry that we do have a bit of a dearth of documentation at this point – but as noted, we are still in beta and adding/flushing out features.
In the meantime, please do take advantage of the Mac forum at: http://forum.plaxo.com or email any Plaxo related problem you encounter to beta-mac [at] plaxo.com.
We’re also starting to flesh out our FAQs for Plaxo for Mac so you can also use them as a resource.
Please drop us a note if you’re having problems. We want to help.
