Speaking of .Mac accounts and all the features they offer, Gmail is catching up fast.

It recently announced two new features, vacation autoreplies and contact groups, which narrow the gap with .Mac‘s offerings.

If it is true that competition is good for consumers, I wonder what .Mac will do to start widening the gap again.
