I tried for a while to think of an Apple Mail connection for this entry, but failed. Then I decided since its my blog, that doesn’t matter.

Mellel is a word processor. It doesn’t send mail. Or make appointments or keep track of contacts.

It has the same focus about its word processing task as Apple Mail does about email. I love it. If you work with Greek or any other ancient language you’d be mad to use anything else. If you don’t, you’ll love its focus, simplicity, dependability and features.

Version 2.0, released today, adds a ton of extra functionality without sacrificing the clean interface.

Check it out. (In a little bit maybe — the developer’s server seems to be under very heavy load.)
