Address Book Importer imports contacts in CSV or tab delimited format into Address Book.
It improves on Address Book’s own import feature by allowing customised mapping to Address Book’s fields:
Recent updates have added a Dutch localisation, fixed some issues with the Middle Name and Related Name fields, improved stability on 10.2 and introduced several bugfixes.
The app is shareware (USD 10) and available from the developer’s web site.

I used this to import heap of addresses from a sporting group I administer.
I’m not sure, but I think it added a heap of null characters into various fields, making my palm nearly useless for a day or so until I figured out how to fix it.
Of course, I’m not sure if it was that which did it or not.
Otherwise, it worked pretty well!
