More 10.4.3 goodness for Apple Mail users
In addition to the twelve improvements and fixes for
- Spotlight no longer seems to “hang” halfway through typing in your search term. This is a bonus for searches in Mail as well. There’s no need for third-party utilities to stop Spotlight jumping the gun.
- Mail (and Safari) handle Hebrew and Arabic better. I guess this means smarter rendering of Right-to-Left text, but don’t know enough of either language to test it properly.
- URLs are no longer lost when syncing your Address Book with .Mac. Good news. I’ve been stung by that before.
- Address Book contacts organised by subgroup can now be transferred to an iPod using iTunes.
- Improved syncing and subscription features for iCal.
Of course, the real fun now will be trying to find the undocumented improvements.

I was really hoping that a fix to the very annoying IMAP-bug that was introduced with 10.4.2 would be included - but it’s not.
The mail count of IMAP subfolders (not the inbox) is still always doubled, and since I use MailEnhancer to display the new mail count of all folders at the dock icon, this number is never correct. :-(

Even bloggers are allowed to get some sleep :-)
But partly I haven’t said anything because I am not sure what to say. I don’t get the same duplication problem in any of my three IMAP accounts.
I guess you have already tried deleting the local caches of your IMAP meesages and letting Mail rebuild them.
