Use Address Book Groups to make Gmail filters
Will Wade has written an AppleScript that will create “group filters” on Gmail based on the Groups in your Address Book.
This gets around the hassle of manually creating a filter for, say, “Family” by working through all the family’s email addresses one by one in Gmail’s web interface.
Details on how to run the script and the script itself are available on Will’s blog, SourceyMonkey (nice name!).
