MailToPod: Reading emails on the run

MailToPodMailToPod is a utility that transfers emails from Apple Mail to your iPod or iPod mini.

It works with POP and IMAP accounts but not with Exchange accounts. The app allows you to nominate which mailboxes to sync to your iPod and how many messages.

The emails are saved on the iPod as text note files, which you can find in the Extras menu.

MailToPod is developed by the same company that makes MailTunes. Currently it doesn’t work in Tiger, although a version for 10.4 is expected soon. Panther users who prefer reading their mail on the run (on the bus, over a cafe latt?ɬ©, etc) may like it.

It costs USD 10 and you can get it from the developer’s website.

[...] But before you buy, also check out other applications that transfer Mail.app’s messages to your iPod: Pod2Go (slightly cheaper at USD 12) and MailToPod (even cheaper, USD 10) which doesn’t yet work with Tiger, but soon will.
