Label Scripts: Colo(u)red emails on the fly
Thomas McMahon has written this collection of AppleScripts that will “label” or colour emails on the fly.
He provides seven scripts, each for a different colour, but which can easily be renamed “Urgent”, “Do before I go home”, “Blog this!” or whatever.
Obviously, you can set a rule to colour every email you get that meets a particular criterion, but sometimes you need more flexibility. These scripts provide that.
With FastScripts you can even assign a keyboard shortcut to each one for extra ease of use.
They seem to be free and Thomas welcomes feedback on his blog, where you can also download the scripts. Nice one!
After blogging this, I occurs to me that you can also do the same thing with Mail Act-on, creating a rule complete with keyboard shortcut that colours the selected email.
