More Yang: Restoring balance to the Force
Just over a week ago, I trawled the blogs of the world looking for user experiences with Apple Mail. I found more unhappy than happy users, which was slightly depressing — “The Yin and the Yang of Apple Mail”.
Perhaps it’s not surprising that there are more negative views. Jonathan Swift (1667-1745), not commenting on software but on something else, observed that “Complaint is the largest tribute Heaven receives, and the sincerest part of our devotion”.
In any case, I can report that I have found the two missing happy users. One is a recent switcher who thinks that “Apple Mail is … really cool”.
The other, Mike Daisy, is a switcher of another kind. He says that his move from Entourage to Apple Mail was an “unmitigated success” which “has paid dividends” for him.
