Ipanema: Get your IP address emailed to you
Ipanema is a stand-alone app that will email your current IP address to you at another machine using Apple Mail. Ipanema can be scheduled to send a report of all of your IP addresses once a day, or when the addresses change.
The software will check the built-in Ethernet, 3rd party Ethernet, Airport, IP over FireWire and PPP ports for IP addresses. Ipanema also can report your “real” IP address if you are behind a firewall. All of these options are configurable through ipanema’s interface:
This is particularly useful if you have a dynamic IP address and want to access your computer remotely. A licence costs USD 4.95 and the app is available from the developer’s website.
