Comments on: Getting your Gmail messages in Apple Mail

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem as Robin, Tobin, Reza and John.
This happens with me since last July 17th.
I do not have a clue why this is happening. I’d be glad if someone knows the reason and shares it with us.

Hi,

I have been downloading all my emails from Gmail on to my apple mail, untill recently i.e. last week it just stopped downloading. I do not want to download all the emails 25,000 odd messages again.

Kindly help.

I am having same problem as Rod and Tobin. Half of my gmail (the older half) has downloaded and now it won’t download anymore including new messages which I am receiving

I’m having the same problem as Rod. I got it to download about half of my mail from gmail and then it stopped. Same with my yahoo account. Ideas?

Any ideas as to why Apple Mail, will on occasion, NOT grab all email from gmail?

Have successfully setup my gmail in Apple Mail, but no luck with my partner’s gmail in her Apple Mail as it continues asking for password or should I say gmail rejects it. But get this, I have no problems at all on my Apple Mail, but then I change the username/password to my partner’s gmail and it then won’t work.

I’ve reviewed all settings on gmail for both our gmail accounts and their both spot on the same. Just can’t figure it out!!!

Thank you, thank you! I just set up GMail, and wasn’t keen on the interface, so I turned on my Apple Mail for the 2nd time since I bought this computer. Trying to figure out how-tos when you’re a born non-techie is quite the trick. Your instructions here were the best, and clearest ones I found. Excellent!

Now, I just gotta figure out how to get the second email addy that’s set up in GMail to import into Apple Mail. I must be doing something wrong, but not sure what ….

can someone actually answer the question though? how on mac tiger, can you set apple mail up to read your gmail?
