Gmail Notifier for Apple Mac

GmailNotifierGoogle has released an Apple Mac version of its Gmail Notifier, which will work with more recent versions of OS X (10.3.8 or greater).

The stand-alone app loads a small icon of an envelope into the menubar. A drop-down menu allows you to poll your Gmail account for new mail, jump to your inbox or to the compose window in Gmail’s web interface. If it detects unread mail in your Gmail account, the icon turns purple and an unread message count appears in brackets next to the icon. You can download it from Google’s website.
