Two weeks ago I walked into my boss’ office and finally told him that I was quitting. How did it feel? Great. No, really! The thrill of quitting must be one of the last great privileges left to the salaried worker.

Now I have to work out my notice period. It’s not so bad. I’m already in that limbo space in which the rest of the office regards me as having already left. There’s not that much to do, which is good, because now I have to find something else!
